Allow search of other stories in Storify
Create a search function WITHIN Storify to find similar stories according to topic. Today I tried to find other stories regarding #cablegate and had to resort to Google. It should be easy to find similar stories here
Getting really frustrated with how difficult it is to find other users. Why is there no basic search function on the site??!
where i can find stories/bloggers in storify (without having to look in google) using a key-word. If there already is one, then put it in a visible position and always usable.
Have a serach box to allow for easy serching of all storify stories
Perhaps add a people search function or a listing of suggested users would suffice.
& provide a homepage stream of their created content. It would be useful for users, I think, to also have access to a basic index of other users, or perhaps a search appliance that looks for keywords. It's a bit cumbersome to find others on Storify. It might also encourage organizations and news outlets to put work into an org account (I speak from some experience in this regard). Thanks.
hey, i've just started using Storify and i couldnt find the search option to browse through other stories. Nor did i get a window that allows me to follow people. Please look into it. Thanks. Storify looks quite promising. Cheers!!!!
… for keywords in all published/ public stories (how
else are we to discover otherwise unlisted items), as
well as a search function in the editor's LH and RH
panes - tricky to implement in a consistent and not
overly convoluted fashion, but you'l find the way!
We now have a search bar at the top of the site, and are working to make the results better

I believe this is mandatory.
Yes, a search tool is absolutely required. There is currently no easy way to search stories or users. Been using storify to publish stories, which works great and makes things much easier, but without a search function on the storify website the only way people will read my story (or I theirs) is if the story is featured in one of the catagories. I see this thread exists since December 2010, and still no search tool... Hopefully it won't take very much longer, but who knows...
This is the biggest missing feature and the reason why I am not adopting until it is available. I want to be able to research other stories such as vacation stories for Thailand.

This is so basic I find it hard to understand why it's missing, agreeing with Angel! This was also the main reason I more or less directly lost interest with Storify. So, when is it coming? Roadmap? Schedule? /T
Desperately needs a search function. Almost impossible to discover items without it.
And it'd be a great search method to add subscriptions, too.
I think its a basic tool, please!

as soon as possible please
This is a good idea, because unless your story is about one of the topics outlined at the top of the homepage or featured (which probably means you're some sort of news organization or company, it seems) it seems people can't find your story and you can't really connect with others.

dear admin, 1 year passed now... please the search button!
Ummmm...yeah. If I wasn't creating a story, there is NO reason for me to come to this site. If I get lucky, maybe one of the featured/popular stories is on the homepage. Otherwise, how do I find anyone else's stories?
Also do add search button upfront...right now - cant find writers or stories easily

How on earth does anyone find people to follow without a search function?? Isn't this kind of a no-brainer?
I found 1 person I was looking for just by repeatedly refreshing the front page showing featured users. Very very silly!

This combined with search.. should be basics
Agree. Not only searching for people but for topics as well.

i agree, the concept of Storify is great, but adding a search would make Storify so much more effective. at the moment it is limited to finding people through google or the few featured on the home page.

Looking for a search facility, too!

If it is to be truly social there needs to be any way to find out storytellers and also find stories. I'm at a loss to understand how some people follow so many people.
I was just having this very problem. I created my first story and was sitting, staring at my monitor, thinking "Now what?" I want to find people to follow, but as far as I can tell, there isn't one. Perplexing ....
